Our read
Who it suits
Rated 38 pints a day, the Sailing P120A is sized for a wet space under 2,000 sq ft, or a damp one over. Its running cost is close to the median, so drainage, noise, and price matter more.
Capacity suggested for each case, read Oct 5, 2026. ENERGY STAR adds that it’s better to oversize than undersize.
Running cost
Running cost won’t decide it
It uses 374 kWh a year, the median for 29–44 pint models. The thriftiest of its size, the Deciuu LIBRA-RCS32(Y)-N4-3(B), would save $83 in the United States over 11 years. That’s the DOE’s average life for a portable.
The EPA doesn’t list the Sailing P120A as connected. Of the 87 certified 29–44 pint models, 8 are. In a crawl space you rarely open, a connected one saves the trip.
Ask for the pump lift and the lowest working temperature
Neither figure is in our sources for the Sailing P120A. Without a floor drain below it, a pump has to lift the water to a sink. Basements run cool, and below 65°F, ENERGY STAR says frost can form on the coils.
Its refrigerant is R-32, flagged as lower GWP.Global warming potential 675.
Among the 87 certified 29–44 pint portables, 39 use less energy.
The federal floor for its class is 1.60 liters per kWh. It reaches 2.01, or 26% more. That floor covers portables rated over 25 and up to 50 pints a day, for units made since June 13, 2019.
In the Airecoler lineup, the next size down is the Atlas T70, at 24 pints. The next size up is the Sailing P155, at 50 pints. The bigger one uses 156 kWh a year more.
On the market since July 2026, newer than 93% of the 29–44 pint models on the list.Certified in July 2026, one of the 97 models certified in the last six months.
Not on the EPA’s Most Efficient list, which names 1 of the 29–44 pint models.
The Moiswell Aegis HP110 is the closest size from another brand, rated 38 pints and 374 kWh a year. Both cost the same to run in the United States.

A day of nonstop drying means 38 pints of water, about 4.8 gallons, for some 8.9 kWh. At the average home electricity price in the United States, the Sailing P120A costs $1.64 to run that day.
The EPA’s yearly estimate, 374 kWh, adds up to about 42 days like that. Each extra day at full output costs another $1.64.
Those 38 pints come from a DOE test at 65°F and 60% humidity. Cooler air at that humidity gives up less water, so expect fewer pints in a cold basement.
Every day at full output leaves 4.8 gallons to get rid of. Check how the Sailing P120A drains, since our sources don’t say.
